The Frank Howell Gallery

The Frank Howell Gallery is located in Santa Fe, just off the old Plaza at the corner of Palace and Washington. This historic, adobe structure houses five rooms of Howell's work as well as sculptures, paintings, and jewelry by several other celebrated Southwestern artists.

In operation since 1986, the Gallery is highly respected in the Santa Fe business community. The owner is a long time member in good standing of the Santa Fe Gallery Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

The gallery staff, in dealing with visitors and customers, respects and reflects the spirit of the late Frank Howell, who once was described as "having the remarkable ability to make a person feel that, for a moment in time, they were the most important person in his life." When asked the interpretation of the symbolism in Howell's work, the staff often refers to one of this great artist's comments: "In all my work you'll discover there's a tremendous space for you to always ask questions. It's designed that way. Understand that painting is a wonderful kind of mirror that reflects the inner you, not your external appearance. You will have a sense of a kind of timelessness, a humanness the poetics in all things."
