Akala has been selling southwestern style jewelry for the last 15 years. When she opened her own business in 1999, she wanted to design pieces that would be appreciated not only in the southwest but all over the world. She loves stones and hand selects the most beautiful ones she can find from her many stonecutters and other sources. She has become well known for her unique and unusual stones. She designs our pieces that are then created by our silversmiths, most of whom are Native American craftspeople. She has also begun designing and making beautiful beaded necklaces to accent the special stones in her pendants.
